CLUB UNIFORM
- The official Mountain Pony Club Uniform is a dark blue shirt, a white tie, a royal blue V-neck woollen jumper, beige coloured jodhpurs, short or long riding boots and a helmet bearing the codes as per the PCASA rulings. Orders for the shirt and tie must be placed through the club committee. The wool jumper can be purchased at Worklocker in Mt Barker.
- Club rugby tops are available for Cross Country, but are not acceptable when the official uniform is required ie at rallies and when out competing as a member of Mountain Pony Club (except in the cross country phase of an event). Orders must be placed through the club committee.
- Dark blue jodhpurs are acceptable at Club rallies only.
- The Club saddle cloth is royal blue with white edging and with the Club badge embroidered in white. These can ordered through the Club committee.
- A short sleeve polo, a long sleeve polo, a hoodie, a soft shell jacket and a cap are also available through Worklocker in Mount Barker. These items are optional and although not part of the official uniform, many of the members wear them when they are not competing.
- Leggings or chappettes are allowed for Pony Club rallies and for competition. The PCASA ruling states that leather gaiters, which are part of a boot system, are permitted for competition provided they are the same colour as the boot.
- Efficiency badges are sewn on the left breast of the Pony Club jumper. Club and Zone stripes and badges (achievement stripes, Zone Camp stripes) are sewn on the right sleeve and State badges are sewn on the left sleeve.
- New members are not required to have the full uniform for the first six months. We encourage you to purchase one item per month. If you are representing Mountain Pony Club in a competition, then the full official uniform is required.
- Occasionally second-hand uniforms are available through the Club.
- A leather neck strap is required for all riding activities, especially for younger/inexperienced riders. (A leather belt or a stirrup leather is ideal). It is now mandatory that all riders who have not attained their 'C' Certificate, must wear a neck strap for all activities at Mountain Pony Club rallies.
